Moring Star vs. Son of the Morning - King James Version vs. New International Version (NOT THE SAME)

Morning Star vs. Son of the Morning

Isaiah Chapter 14

King James Version

New International Version

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

The realm of the dead below is all astir
    to meet you at your coming;
it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you— all those who were leaders in the world;
it makes them rise from their thrones—
    all those who were kings over the nations.

10 They will all respond,
    they will say to you,
“You also have become weak, as we are;
    you have become like us.
11 All your pomp has been brought down to the grave,
    along with the noise of your harps;
maggots are spread out beneath you
    and worms cover you.

12 How you have fallen from heaven,
    morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
    you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
    “I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
    above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
    on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[b]
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
    I will make myself like the Most High.”
15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
    to the depths of the pit.

Differences between the King James Version & the New International Version:

Verse 9

A.     Hell vs. Realm of the Dead – The KJV clearly uses the word Hell, which is literally translated into the Grave.  The NIV uses the word realm, or the kingdom of the dead.  Grave in the biblical context means, a place for the dead, where the “dead know not anything” Ecclesiastics 9:5.  Realm, in contrast is a place of the dead, it implies a conscious state of mind.  The second is a belief in the “Immortal Soul Doctrine”.

B.     Both the KJV and the NIV use the word stir, but in the KJV, if there is no conscious mind in death, it means to move to make room, where as in the NIV, where it is assumed that the dead have interactions one with another, it means to cause to act.

C.     Meet vs Greet – The KJV uses the word meet, which can be to make room for, where as the NIV uses the phrase “to greet you”, this clearly infers a conscious mind, capable of interactions between two beings.

D.    Lastly, the NIV uses the phrase “rouses the spirits of the departed”, which means brings out of sleep, or to cause to feel angry or excited.  The KJV makes no such inference.

Verse 10

A.     Question vs. Comment – In the KJV, this verse it two separate questions, but in the NIV, this verse is one distinct comment.  This changes the dynamic of the verse from being one that is not realized, to one that is assured.

B.     Speak vs. Respond – in the KJV the state of the dead asks the question, has King of Babylon become like them, weak and dead, it compares the two states?  The NIV clearly use the word responds, this is translated to mean “to say something in reply”, here the dead are communicating to the King of Babylon.  Here we find belief in Familiar Spirits, again we find reference to the “Immortal Soul Doctrine”.

C.     Unto vs As we are – The KJV uses the interrogative phrase “like unto us?”, asking if the King of Babylon has entered into the state of the dead, unconscious mind, whereas the NIV uses the phrase “as we are” signifying a conscious state.  Immortal Soul Doctrine.

Verse 11

A.     The KJV writes that the King of Babylon’s vanity and viols (violin) or noise are brought to the grave, or no longer exists.  The NIV states that the King of Babylon’s vanity is brought down to underworld, along with his Harp (Liar), where it continues to make noise since there is still conscious mind in this realm.

B.     In the KJV, the worms are on top and under the King’s body, but in the NIV there are Maggots on top, and worms on the bottom.  In the KJV it assumes that Hell is the grave, and the King is covered by dirt, where no oxygen exists.  In the NIV the King is transferred to Under World, another place where a different type of life exists.  Here the maggots have oxygen and can live.  It is known that maggots become flies, and Satan is the “Lord of the Flies”.  Lord of the Flies was a name for Beelzebub, or Satan.  Beelzebub is also known as Anubis or God of the Underworld or dead.  Jesus clearly states he is not the god of the dead.  Mark 12:27   Again we find reference to the Immortal Soul Doctrine.

Verse 12

A.     The KJV gives reference to the being that fell, and calls him Lucifer the “son of the morning”, the NIV does not give any name, but refers to the fallen one as the “morning star” and “son of the dawn”.

Son of the Morning” = Day Star = Sirius = Dog Star = Alpha Canis Majoris – was worshiped by many different pagan cultures.

            Chaldean – Dog that leads

      China – Heavenly Wolf

            Assyrian/Akadian – Dog to the Sun

      Alaskan Inuit Tribes – Moon Dog

            O’odham Tribe – Dog that follows the Mountain Sheep

            Cherokee Tribe – Dog Star Guardian of the Path of Souls

Morning Star” – Revelation 22:16 - I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Sun of the Dawn” – stands for Lucifer or the planet Venous.  Again, we have groups of pagans worshiping the celestial planets.  This pagan worship is known as Pantheism.

The NIV does not use the word Lucifer to describe the fallen angel, since the Gnostic religion does not believe that Lucifer is fallen.  Rather it uses the name “Sun of the Dawn” to describe Lucifer.  It stands for the goddess Venus, remember, Satan can be worshiped as male or female (Mary).

Verse 13

A.     Into Heaven vs. to the Heavens – In the KJV we find that Lucifer states that he will ascend into heaven singular, in the NIV we find that “Son of the Dawn” or Venous will ascend  to the heavens plural.  In Genesis 1:1 we find that God created the Heaven, singular, not the heavens, plural.  Genesis states that God created a single Universe, where as the NIV is inferring that there are multiple universes.  The concept of alternate universes is the modern metaphysics ideal that man is trying to prove (CERN).  It goes against the biblical teaching of creation and teaches the theory of Evolution.

B.     Mount of Congregation vs. Mount of Assembly – The Mount of Congregation to the children of Israel was known as Mount Sinai, where God (Christ) gave Moses the Law.  The Mount of Congregation is where pagan gods would assemble to take counsel from the chief deity.  One could consider Mt. Carmel to be the Mount of Congregation, a show down between the “I am” against Baal and Ashtoreth.  In the KJV, Lucifer attempts to dethrone God from His holy mountain, In the NIV, “Sun of the Dawn” attempts to create her own holy mountain and kingdom.  Remember there are many gods and kingdoms in paganism.

C.     Mount Sinai vs. Mount Zaphon – Mount Zaphon, also known as Baal-Zaphon, is the mountain of Baal, the Canaanite Storm God.  Mount Sinai is the Mountain where Moses was visited by God, and given the Law of God, or 10 Commandments.

D.    Sides of the North – The KJV refers to the side of the North, this is because the place of Jehovah was always to the North of the camp.

Verse 14

A.     I will be like vs. I will make myself like – In the KJV Lucifer states that he will take the place of Michael (Christ), he will be as or equal to the Most High.  In the NIV the “Son of the Dawn” states that she will attain godhood.  Here we find the lie that the serpent told Eve, Genesis3:4 -5 - And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  Here we have a path to godhood.  Gnostic Gospel.

Verse 15 -

A.     In the KJV, Lucifer will be brought down to hell, or the grave.  Lucifer would end and no longer exist.  In the NIV, Sun of the Dawn, would be brought down to the realm of the dead, perhaps to become King or Queen of the dead.  This follows the Greek story of Zeus and Hades.    Greek Mythology or Paganism.
